Monday, March 11th, 2019 at 9:00am Engel Völkers

New location marks the first for the global real estate brand in Maryland, continuing its expansion along the Eastern Seaboard

Engel & Völkers today announced its first shop opening in the state of Maryland. Grace Ryan Real Estate will now operate as Engel & Völkers Annapolis, and will continue under the leadership of its managing broker and owner Rick Foster, an esteemed area business and real estate professional. In 2018, Foster led Grace Ryan Real Estate to become one of the top 40 brokerages by volume out of the nearly 200 brokerages operating in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. As the newly established Engel & Völkers Annapolis, Foster and his team of more than 20 real estate professionals will continue to serve home buyers and sellers in the greater Annapolis area, spanning from Severna Park to the north to the Edgewater area south of the city.

“Annapolis is a thriving Mid Atlantic real estate market,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “Roughly equidistant from Baltimore and Washington, D.C., Annapolis offers its residents a unique combination of relaxed, bayside charm and close proximity to the nation’s capital, world-class universities, cutting-edge medical research, renowned corporations as well as the social and cultural amenities offered by the larger metro areas to its north and west. Rick’s philosophy that real estate should be based on long-term relationships and excellent client service is an ethos which directly echoes ours as a brand and there is no question he is the right leader to represent Engel & Völkers in this market.”

Situated on the scenic Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis is home to Maryland’s State House and Governor’s Mansion, as well as the U.S. Naval Academy. The city is centered around a historic, cobblestone waterfront district that offers a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shopping, and also boasts a large sailing and yachting community. The market offers a broad selection of homes and price points, however, the area is most known for the downtown area’s historic homes dating back to the eighteenth century, as well as waterfront estates with amazing views and boat access.

“Annapolis has a small town feel with big city amenities,” said Foster. “Our growth and success thus far has been based upon a commitment to excellence and a culture of service to our clients and fellow real estate professionals. In becoming part of Engel & Völkers, we’re able to build upon that commitment by offering our clients and real estate advisors global reach and exposure while also raising the bar when it comes to delivering a white-glove, personalized client experience in our market. Even as the world grows smaller by the minute, Engel & Völkers celebrates the fact that real estate expertise will always be local in nature.”

Engel & Völkers operates a global network of over 11,000 real estate advisors in more than 30 countries. For more information, visit www.annapolis.evusa.com.
